Since 2008, the Hudson City Schools Foundation (HCSF) has been dedicated to enhancing the educational experiences of students by creating valuable connections between the district, its families, alumni, and the community. The Foundation is the primary partner for donors seeking to directly impact the Hudson City School District.

Explorer Grants Awarded

We are proud to announce that we awarded $15,000 in grants supporting the students in Hudson City Schools across all grade levels, PreK through 12th grade.

These grants ensure that Hudson educators have the resources they need to provide exceptional learning experiences for students in the district and support a diverse range of educational initiatives, including:

Tower Garden materials
Materials to create Pollinator Stations for Earth Day
K-5 ARTventure supplies
STEM building kits for Derby cars projects
Musical instruments for world drumming programs
Art-to-Go sessions through Cleveland Museum of Art
Emerging Technology Conference supplies

Artist in Residency Program

Thanks to a grant from Hudson City Schools Foundation’s Arts in Residence program, McDowell Elementary kindergarten students participated in the Cinderella Residency Program, an inclusive arts experience that used storytelling, theater, and character lessons to explore what it means to be an ethical citizen.

Over the course of the residency, students watched Cinderella, took part in interactive classroom sessions, and prepared a school-day performance for Portrait of an Explorer Day, giving the entire school a chance to experience the program.
